Since now we know the meaning of the word Trillion

You can confirm on the government website link at bottom

Here's an interesting read: and some important and verifiable information :

About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes brothers was the guest. The host said to Forbes, "I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?" Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, "More than all the Middle East put together."

Please read below:

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big! It was a revised report (which had not been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota , western South Dakota , and extreme eastern Montana .....

Check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable. At $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

"When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea." says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

"This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years," reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' It stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves. We now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because the information is from 2006!

U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World

Stansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted.. With this 'mother lode' of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia

- 18-times as much oil as Iraq

- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait

- 22-times as much oil as Iran

- 500-times as much oil as Yemen

- and it's all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy.

WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to.

Do ya' think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

Got your attention yet? Now, while you're thinking about it, do this:

Pass this along. If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you complain about gas prices -

By doing NOTHING, you forfeit your right to complain.

--------

Now I just wonder what would happen in this country if every one of you sent this to every one in your address book.

By the way...this is all true. Check it out at the link below!!!

GOOGLE it, or follow this link. It will blow your mind.

A Simple Question

While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue,
Paul Hollrah over at UTFSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can
be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:

What passport did he use when he was shuttling between New York ,
Jakarta ,and Karachi ?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981,
without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with
the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later?

And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta ,
and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through
Customs and Immigration?

The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions,
they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a
rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A : Yes, by his own admission..

Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities?
1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,
2) He traveled with a British passport, or
3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.

Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's
"no travel" list in 1981.
Conclusion:
When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a
British passport or an Indonesian passport..

If he were traveling with a British passport that would provide proof
he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims.
And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend
to prove he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British
or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in
1967.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know
how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between
1981 and 2008..

Given the destructive nature of his plans for America , as illustrated by
his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has
presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

If you Don't care if Your President is not a natural born Citizen and in
Violation of the Constitution, then Delete this and go into your cocoon.

The American Ship of State

5th Annual Message to Congress (December 3, 1793)
George Washington

"There is a rank due to the United States among nations which will be withheld, if not absolutely lost, by the reputation of weakness. If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known that we are at all times ready for war. The documents which will be presented to you will shew the amount and kinds of arms and military stores now in our magazines and arsenals; and yet an addition even to these supplies can not with prudence be neglected, as it would leave nothing to the uncertainty of procuring warlike apparatus in the moment of public danger. "

October 28th 2009, We are a rudderless ship with the Captain tinkering with the lanyard on the Bosun's pipe and wondering about the correct reading of the map in front of him.
God bless and keep this country and it's warriors.

A Giant Rests

15 September, 2009, Medal of Honor recipient Major Everett Pope, USMC, was buried at Arlington Cemetery. He died in July, on his 90th birthday. The Citation.
POPE, EVERETT PARKER
Rank and organization: Captain, U.S. Marine Corps, Company C, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. Place and date: Peleliu Island, Palau group, 19-20 September 1944. Entered service at: Massachusetts. Born: 16 July 1919, Milton, Mass.
Citation:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as commanding officer of Company C, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, during action against enemy Japanese forces on Peleliu Island, Palau group, on 19-20 September 1944. Subjected to pointblank cannon fire which caused heavy casualties and badly disorganized his company while assaulting a steep coral hill, Capt. Pope rallied his men and gallantly led them to the summit in the face of machinegun, mortar, and sniper fire. Forced by widespread hostile attack to deploy the remnants of his company thinly in order to hold the ground won, and with his machineguns out of order and insufficient water and ammunition, he remained on the exposed hill with 12 men and 1 wounded officer determined to hold through the night. Attacked continuously with grenades, machineguns, and rifles from 3 sides, he and his valiant men fiercely beat back or destroyed the enemy, resorting to hand-to-hand combat as the supply of ammunition dwindled, and still maintaining his lines with his 8 remaining riflemen when daylight brought more deadly fire and he was ordered to withdraw. His valiant leadership against devastating odds while protecting the units below from heavy Japanese attack reflects the highest credit upon Capt. Pope and the U.S. Naval Service .

Ad Memorium Carl Asaro

Carl Asaro chose to be a protector, a defender. He chose to enter the heart of darkness to try to save others on September 11, 2001. Because of men and women like Carl, the people of this great country now look very differently on those who willingly risk everything for their safety and well being.

I cannot pay tribute to Carl without also honoring his 343 brethren firefighters who gave their lives on that terrible day. If he’s reading this, and I believe he is, he’s smiling approvingly right now.

Other very important people made great sacrifices on 9 11 and I honor them as well. God bless and keep you Helozia, loving wife, and children; Philip, Carl Jr., Matthew, Rebecca and Marc. Your Father loves you and always remember, (John 15:13) “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

2,996 lost their lives on 9/11, never forget.

What Torture is.

The prelude to the "response" below, from Colonel Bud Day, Medal of Honor recipient - prisoner of war survivor Reads:

"I didn't expect to be reminded of my treatment some 36 years ago on this holiday weekend but our politicians find it worthy to
ignore what some have tried to recount to them, who have actually been there."

I got shot down over N Vietnam in 1967..as squadron commander. After I returned in 1973.. I published 2 books that dealt a lot with "real torture" in Hanoi . Our=2 0make-believe president is branding our country as a bunch of torturers when he has no idea what torture is. As for me.....put thru a mock execution because I would not respond...pistol whipped on the head...same event.. Couple of days later...hung by my feet all day. I escaped and got recaptured a couple of weeks later.. I got shot and recaptured. Shot was OK...what happened after was not.

They marched me to Vinh.. put me in the rope trick....almost pulled my arms out of the sockets. Beat me on the head with a little wooden rod until my eyes were swelled shut, and my unshot, unbroken hand a pulp.

Next day hung me by the arms...rebroke my right wrist...wiped out the nerves in my arms that control the hands..rolled my fingers up into a ball. Only left the slightest movement of my L forefinger. So I started answering with some incredible lies.

Sent me to Hanoi strapped to a barrel of gas in the back of a truck. Hanoi ..on my knees..rope trick again. Beaten by a big fool.
Into leg irons on a bed in Heartbreak Hotel.
Much kneeling--hands up at Zoo.
Really bad beating for refusing to condemn Lyndon Johnson.

Several more kneeling events. I could see my knee bone thru kneeling holes.
There was an escape from the annex to the Zoo. I was the Senior O fficer of a large building because of escape..they started a mass torture of all commanders.
I think it was July 7, 1969..they started beating me with a car fan belt. In first 2 days I took over 300 strokes..then stopped counting because I never thought I would live thru it.
They continued day & night torture to get me to confess to a non-existent part in the escape. This went on for at least 3 days.
On my knees. fan belting.. cut open my scrotum with fan belt stroke. They then
opened up both knee holes again. My fanny looked like hamburger..I could not lie on my back.

They tortured me into admitting that I was in on the escape..and that my 2 room-mates knew about it. The next day I denied the lie.
They commenced torturing me again with 3 – 6 - or 9 strokes of the fan belt every day from about July 11 or 12th..to 14 October 1969. I continued to refuse to lie about my roommates again. Now, the point of this is that our make-believe president has declared
to the world that we ( U.S. ) are a bunch of torturers.. Thus it will be OK to torture us next time when they catch us....because that is what the U.S. does.
Our make-believe president is a know nothing fool who thinks that pouring a little water on some one's face, or hanging a pair of women’s pants over an Arabs20head is TORTURE. He is a meathead.

I just talked to MOH holder Leo Thorsness who was also in my sq in jail .... as was John McCain ... and we agree that McCain does not
speak for the POW group when he claims that Al Gharib was torture .. or that "water boarding" is torture.

Our president and those fools around him who keep bad mouthing our great country are a disgrace to the United States . Please pass this info on to Sean Hannity. He is free to use it to point out the stupidity of the claims that water boarding ....which has no after effect... is torture. If it got the Arab to cough up the story about how he planned the attack on the twin towers in NYC ... hurrah for the guy who poured the water.

BUD DAY, MOH(Medal of Honor)
George Everett "Bud" Day (born February 24, 1925) is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and Command Pilot who served during the Vietnam War.

He is often cited as being the most decorated U.S. service member since General Douglas MacArthur, having received some seventy decorations, a majority for actions in combat. Day is a recipient of the Medal of Honor.

From the mailbox

I checked on snopes....and this letter was written and sent to the Wall Street Journal in response to the "Where's the Outrage?" article they ran on July 31, 2008 but was not published. aw

This gal about covers it all! ----- Letter of Outrage MUST READ!!!

This letter was sent to the Wall Street Journal on August 8, 2008 by Alisa Wilson, Ph.D. Of Beverly Hills, CA. in response to the Wall Street Journal article titled "Where's The Outrage?" that appeared July 31, 2008.

Really. I can tell you where the outrage is. The outrage is here, in this middle-aged, well-educated, upper-middle class woman. The outrage is here, but I have no representation, no voice. The outrage is here, but no one is listening for who am I?
I am not a billionaire like George Soros that can fund an entire political movement. I am not a celebrity like Barbra Streisand that can garner the attention of the press to promote political candidates. I am not a film maker like Michael Moore or Al Gore that can deliver misleading movies to the public.
The outrage is here, but unlike those with money or power, I don't know how to reach those who feel similarly in order to effect change. Why am I outraged? I am outraged that my country, the United States of America , is in a state of moral and ethical decline. There is no right or wrong anymore, just what's fair.
Is it fair that millions of Americans who overreached and borrowed more than they could afford are now being bailed out by the government and lending institutions to stave off foreclosure? Why shouldn't these people be made to pay the consequences for their poor judgment?
When my husband and I purchased our home, we were careful to purchase only what we could afford. Believe me, there are much larger, much nicer homes that I would have loved to have purchased. But, taking responsibility for my behavior and my life, I went with the house that we could afford, not the house that we could not afford. The notion of personal responsibility has all but died in our country.
I am outraged, that the country that welcomed my mother as an immigrant from Hitler's Nazi Germany and required that she and her family learn English now allows itself to be overrun with illegal immigrants and worse, caters to those illegal immigrants.
I am outraged that my hard-earned taxes help support those here illegally. That the Los Angeles Public School District is in such disarray that I felt it incumbent to send my child to private school, that every time I go to the ATM, I see "do you want to continue in English or Spanish?", that every time I call the bank, the phone company, or similar business, I hear "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish". WHY? This is America , our common language is English and attempts to promote a bi- or multi-lingual society are sure to fail and to marginalize those who cannot communicate in English.
I am outraged at our country's weakness in the face of new threats on American traditions from Muslims. Just this week, Tyson's Food negotiated with its union to permit Muslims to have Eid-al-Fitr as a holiday instead of Labor Day. What am I missing? Yes, there is a large Somali Muslim population working at the Tyson's plant in Tennessee . Tennessee , last I checked, is still part of the United States . If Muslims want to live and work here they should be required to live and work by our American Laws and not impose their will on our long history.
In the same week, Random House announced that they had indefinitely delayed the publication of The Jewel of Medina, by Sherry Jones, a book about the life of Mohammed's wife, Aisha due to fear of retribution and violence by Muslims. When did we become a nation ruled by fear of what other immigrant groups want? It makes me so sad to see large corporations cave rather than stand proudly on the principles that built this country.
I am outraged because appeasement has never worked as a political policy, yet appeasing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is exactly what we are trying to do. An excellent article, also published recently in the Wall Street Journal, went through over 20 years of history and why talking with Iran has been and will continue to be ineffective. Yet talk, with a madman no less, we continue to do. Have we so lost our moral compass and its ability to detect evil that we will not go in and destroy Iran 's nuclear program? Would we rather wait for another Holocaust for the Jews - one which they would be unlikely to survive? When does it end?
As if the battle for good and evil isn't enough, now come the Environmentalists who are so afraid of global warming that they want to put a Bag tax on grocery bags in California ; to eliminate Mylar balloons; to establish something as insidious as the recycle police in San Francisco. I do my share for the environment: I recycle, I use water wisely, I installed an energy efficient air conditioning unit but when and where does the lunacy stop? Ahmadinejad wants to wipe Israel off the map, the California economy is being overrun by illegal immigrants, and the United States of America no longer knows right from wrong, good from evil.. So what does California do? Tax grocery bags.
So, America , although I can tell you where the outrage is, this one middle-aged, well-educated, upper middle class woman is powerless to do anything about it. I don't even feel like my vote counts because I am so outnumbered by those who disagree with me.
Alisa Wilson, Ph.D. Beverly Hills, California

There are a lot more out there who think just like, Alisa Wilson, the only difference, she put her thoughts in an email that will reach thousands. I would like to keep this going and see how big it gets.

If not now, when? If not you, who?

Huge H/T Mz. Amy Miller

I love the military.

I don’t come from a military family per se, but my daddy was a SEAL in Vietnam, and I’ve been taught a healthy respect and gratitude for the men and women who keep me safe everyday.

I do not tolerate careless, salacious, or hypercritical, ignorant comments about the United States Military.

So, needless to say, when I saw this little gem today (h/t to Janis for bringing it to my attention) I not only spat Diet Coke all over my laptop…I also fought the urge to puke onto my keyboard:

The Death Book for Veterans

Last year, bureaucrats at the VA’s National Center for Ethics in Health Care advocated a 52-page end-of-life planning document, “Your Life, Your Choices.” It was first published in 1997 and later promoted as the VA’s preferred living will throughout its vast network of hospitals and nursing homes. After the Bush White House took a look at how this document was treating complex health and moral issues, the VA suspended its use. Unfortunately, under President Obama, the VA has now resuscitated “Your Life, Your Choices.”

Lovely. A while into the article, Jim Towey gives us a few glowing examples of exactly what’s included in this friendly little document:

“Your Life, Your Choices” presents end-of-life choices in a way aimed at steering users toward predetermined conclusions, much like a political “push poll.” For example, a worksheet on page 21 lists various scenarios and asks users to then decide whether their own life would be “not worth living.”

The circumstances listed include ones common among the elderly and disabled: living in a nursing home, being in a wheelchair and not being able to “shake the blues.” There is a section which provocatively asks, “Have you ever heard anyone say, ‘If I’m a vegetable, pull the plug’?” There also are guilt-inducing scenarios such as “I can no longer contribute to my family’s well being,” “I am a severe financial burden on my family” and that the vet’s situation “causes severe emotional burden for my family.”

I’ll give you a minute to clean up the vomit.

Until I Googled it, I didn’t really know what the VA “Death Book” was. Now I know, and I’m afraid of it. I have to admit that until today, I haven’t really been afraid of what’s going on in Washington. I’ve been concerned, and I’ve made a lot of noise about what I feel are irresponsible policy decisions, but I never even came close to fear.

This thing scares me, and here’s why: if the Administration holds such little regard for the lives of people who put their lives on the line to defend America’s right and ability to exist, how does the Administration regard my life? (Sounds selfish, but I’m really not. Just hear me out.) America’s soldiers are heroes: they spend a great deal of time living in the gutter of global society, putting their lives on the line (and sometimes even taking lives, which is unimaginably horrifying no matter how you look at it) so the rest of us don’t have to go to bed at night wondering whether or not there will be a tomorrow.

And these are the people that the self-righteous bastards inside the beltway want to put to sleep, just as they would an old, lame dog.

I can’t imagine what they’d do to me if I was somehow incapacitated or otherwise rendered useless to the well-being of society, or however it is they’ve decided to sugar-coat this monstrous initiative. Wake up call! I wonder if any of the people who support this policy have thought about it that way.

Since I’m in the mood to make dramatic declarations, here’s one you can write down and hold me to:

I promise, here and now, that if I can use my law degree to do so, I will take down each and every one of the disgusting, soulless monsters who wrote and support this despicable document. I will be graduating law school in 2012 (go figure) so if Obama gets reelected, I’ll have my work cut out for me. I will not in good conscience allow this sort of thing to happen if I do indeed have the power to fight it.

Got that? That means you, Dr. Robert Pearlman, and you too, President Barack Hussein Obama. I am not prepared to be nice about this. What you have done with your death book is demean, impugn, and disrespect those for which you should fall to your knees every night and thank God; without them, you might be dead. Or under the rule of a totalitarian dictator. Without them, our country would have gone down in flames a long time ago–and you would have gone down with it.

Operation Go Flag Yourself

Operation Go Flag Yourself! Dissent is no longer patriotic…
All, Leftists and terrorists have one thing in common: You can scream at ‘em, you can argue with ‘em, you can chase ‘em and you can even shoot ‘em. But for God’s sake, just don’t laugh at ‘em.
Well, considering the White House’s brazen request for American citizens to “flag” other American citizens by turning their HealthCare content into the White House Dissent Management Bureau via flag@whitehouse.gov , this brownshirt tactic needs to be laughed at.
How: Turn yourselves in. All of us and everyone we know. Report yourselves to the Whiet house Dissent Management Czar - and in such volume - as to make a mockery of the entire sleazy endeavor.
Think of it as reporting yourself to the local PD for speeding. We’d all be emailing about 5 times per day. Well, every time you have a thought on HealthCare, much less write or speak about it, send the contents of the thoughts/words/conversation to flag@WhiteHouse.gov .
Operation Go Flag Yourself!
Get busy. This is not a joke, which is why we need to laugh at it. All of us. Often. And discredit it for what it is: A brownshirt tactic from within our own government.

You Say Tomahto

You say you’re pro-choice to avoid saying you’re actually pro-murder.

You say you are for “reproductive rights” (to kill babies in the womb).

You say you support “workers’ rights” (to include ‘sex’ workers)

You say you are for diversity when you mean you’re all about broadening your party’s “likely supporter” base.

You say you are for diversity in race, skin color, ethnicity and sexual preference… everything but thought.

You say we need the “Fairness Doctrine” instead of “The Gag Order”. It’s unconstitutional! It's not "fair" and it can't be admitted that semantic legitimacy.
By the way, what about those station owners and their employees, after their fire sale. People who listen to talk radio don’t particularly want to listen to moonbats flapping their wings.

You say you support Social Justice and you really mean giving the lazy a “leg up” on people who work hard to achieve a better life. Your guilt assuaged at the price to others.

You say we must prohibit interrogators from making captured terrorists ‘uncomfortable’. You say it’s ok to vacuum a baby’s brain from its skull.

You say it’s time come together, silencio, oh chattering class. When did you EVER think before you spoke in the last eight years?

By the way, gays don’t need separate rights; they already have ‘human’ ones.

I can’t go any further in this post.

Liberalism

The awful truth about liberalism is its central delusion, the notion that life can be neatly organized into rational bureaucratic programs. It turns everything it touches into soulless clanking monster. While professing to care more for us than we even care for ourselves, liberalism is the darkest black hole of compassion because it is created in the black pit of the heart of man without even a glimmer of the light of God. Liberalism's quest is to destroy the spirit instilled in man by his Creator.

Before princes, principalities and powers comes life and love, mothers and babies, children and families, struggle and sacrifice, a city on a hill.
The glorious truth about conservatism is its love of life.

The Thawing

Total hatip to neoneocon.

Obama “the iceman” melteth: but Politico’s Ben Smith hasn’t been paying attention
Ben Smith of Politico seems to think Obama’s getting rattled, and that this has caused a change in the persona he’s showing to the country and the world.
But everything the article describes as new behavior was already in evidence during the campaign—that is, to those paying attention to the details. Obama has always had a tendency to get nasty and emotional, or haughty and dismissive, when pressed—but during the campaign he was rarely ever pressed. As for the trash talk, didn’t Politico see Obama give Hillary the finger, or flick the dirt off his shoulder? Or how about getting acquainted with the ancient history of how Obama got his start against Alice Palmer? Not to mention the fact that Obama’s lack of reaching across the aisle for Republican input began nearly at the start of his presidency, not just now.
This in particular struck me as disingenuous on the part of Obama’s spokesman, as well:
White House Deputy Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer dismissed the suggestion that Obama should be expected to succeed effortlessly – or that he’s on a path toward failure on any of these varied fronts.
“Obama and his team have been down this road dozens of times and been declared dead many times and always succeeded,” he said. “No one gets rich betting against Barack Obama.”
Now that I think of it, perhaps it’s not disingenuous after all; perhaps it just shows ignorance (or denial) of the fact that Obama has never had to succeed at anything political before except for getting elected, and then ingratiating himself with the leader of the Illinois Senate who allowed him to take credit for the work of other people on legislative bills. After that, all Obama really had to do was give speeches and run a campaign.
Granted, he was very good indeed at that. But a campaign and a presidency are different. I am beginning to think that one of the problems with Obama and his advisers is that they actually believe an administration is merely the continuation of a campaign. After all, Obama has never had to face that hard truth before—each office of his has been useful only as a springboard for the next one. The idea that he is now in office for at least four years, with no higher office in sight, and that people may actually for the first time in his life expect him to produce some actual results in addition to lofty words, is very slow to dawn on Obama and the people around him.
They probably think if he bobs and weaves and spins enough, his chickens will never come home to roost. And perhaps they are correct; perhaps the press will stay in his pocket, partly to avoid admitting its own failure to evaluate and vet Obama properly. But there are signs—and the Politico article is one of them—that even the press cannot deny that this man is not what he appeared (to them) to be.

I am writing this post in response to an email I received criticizing Republican Representatives. The mailer’s idea was that our elected leaders shouldn't voice their opposition to transferring suspected terrorists from Guantanamo Bay to prisons in the United States and possibly Kansas.
The suggestion that not blindly following President Obama and Nancy Pelosi makes these Congresspersons “rabid zealots who would bring the USA to ruin" shows how juvenile and immature this person’s argument is.
A recent USA Today/Gallup Poll showed that 65 percent of respondents opposed closing Guantanamo Bay and 74 percent opposed transferring prisoners to the United States. Many of those respondents voted for Obama last November. Are the 74 percent who oppose the Obama/Pelosi agenda and want to keep America safe "rabid zealots," or is it just certain Republican Congresspersons?
Let's keep in mind that Obama keeps going around the world apologizing for America, which isn't going to do anything but embolden America's enemies. I am glad that some Congressional Representatives are standing up for America by standing against the out-of-control policies of President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

The war.

We're still at war against the islamofascists, right?
Anybody else noticing the thundering silence from the anti-war nutters. Hmm, think that was agenda driven? I'm just sayin'.

Baldwin slams Cafferty

Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock star, HuffPost blogger and rumored Senate candidate, took a swipe at Jack Cafferty over comments he made yesterday on CNN. In talking about actors running for office, Cafferty described Baldwin's credentials as "questionable," but noted that Al Franken is Harvard-educated. That prompted Baldwin to ask: "So Franken fits the mold for Cafferty because he went to Harvard?
I would like to make a deal with Cafferty. Jack, you don't tell people that a career in the performing arts disqualifies them from seeking elected office, and I won't say publicly that your being convicted of leaving the scene of an accident in which you
struck a cyclist and then ran two red lights while you were pursued by the police and were subsequently ordered to serve 70 hours of community service back in May of 2003 disqualifies you from posing as a "Man of the People" on a major cable news network.
